365 Days in the Gallery 02.19.12

Heidi Preuss-Grew brought her  Willamette University class to visit the Jesse Reid show. Brilliant! This is what it is all about – people sitting around on his ottomans, talking about work (in this case, sculpture and art in general). Jessie had originally taken his ottomans – made of huge chunks of trees – to his local Farmers’ Market, where farmers would sit and talk about their work and lives, much the same as Heidi’s students sat and discussed their work and lives. Bush Barn is all about living, dynamic and relevant art.

Sitting around, learning about art and life.
