365 Days in the Gallery – March 19, 2012

Here I am hanging an art piece for the Young Artists' Showcase

Hello again, my name is Daniel Kreitzberg and I am an intern at SAA for the current academic year. As I have stated in a previous blog post I am an undergraduate at Portland State University and am double majoring in Art Practices and Psychology. As of late I have been helping install the Young Artists’ Showcase in the A.N. Bush Gallery. In the photo above I am using a level to properly hang a painting. I had the opportunity to be here at the gallery when the School for the Deaf came in to see their work installed. It was a pleasure to see their excitement in seeing their artwork in a gallery setting. The Young Artists’ Showcase has a very wide variety of medium and is a very enjoyable show for viewers of all ages. I was surprised by the level of talent that is present in the show. It will undoubtedly influence these young artists to continue to create wonderful pieces of artwork. It is very rewarding to be involved in influencing these young artists. If you’d like to see my own blog that I am keeping as a means of documentation of my internship the URL is http://internshipsaa.blogspot.com/

Sincerely, Daniel Kreitzberg
