Art Talk | Elizabeth Magee

Tuesday, June 6 | 10 am
Bush Barn Art Center | 600 Mission St. SE

Elizabeth Magee, a painter from Eugene, Oregon, will give a free Art Talk on the first Tuesday in June. Currently part of a three-person show at the Bush Barn Art Center, titled Contemporary Abstraction, Elizabeth will share her techniques and inspirations for art. She says her work “exists between culture and nature,” and approaches painting “as a medium that has many neighbors.” Elizabeth graduated from the University of Oregon with a BFA in Painting and a minor in Art History, and also holds an MFA in Visual Art from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Her work has been shown nationally and locally in group exhibits and galleries.

A meeting of the SAA Gallery Guides will take place after the Art Talk. Those interested in learning more about this important group of volunteer docents are welcome to attend the meeting.
