MODERN STILL LIFE

Opening Reception and Artist Introductions Friday September 4 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

The traditional still life throughout art history has always had a compilation of bowls of fruit and vases of flowers. In the 21st century, we now have iPads, Diet Coke, Pokémon cards, and Labubus… why not paint them? The Modern Still Life show is an exploration of the still life in a fun and new way pushing the boundaries on what we expect in today’s contemporary still life.

I also decided on an image to use for marketing. This painting really is a stunning work that I think really captures the theme. (see attachment for photo)
