Artist Michael Hernandez was the Artist-in-Residence in the Annex Studio for May. Hernandez said the work he’d be producing in his residence consisted of experimental abstract expressions in various sizes and mediums (primarily acrylic paintings) in combination with drawings and transfers. The transfers are typically design foundations that utilize typography and graphics that the compositions are built upon.
