WORKSHOP: CARVE A STONE PENDANT FOR YOUR VALENTINE
Saturday, FEBRUARY 14, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Learn simple stone carving! Class is for 18+. Youth 8-17 can attend with an adult. Tickets must be purchased for each attendee.
This is an introductory class to stone sculpting. Attendees will be guided by professional stone sculptor Benjamin Mefford to create a simple wearable sculpture.
All supplies will be provided. We will use kits made by Studiostone Creative. The process is easy! Using just files, sandpaper, and a small tub of water, we will shape small pre-drilled and outlined pieces of soft stone. A light coat of wax finishes the sculpture and brings out the natural color. Options include a Leaf pendant or Heart pendant.
Class will be limited to 14 participants so please register early. Class is made possible by the Salem Art Association.
Hosted by the Salem Art Association at the Bush Barn Art Center Annex.
Enter through the Bush Barn Art Center Main Entrance, then head over to the Annex. Come a few minutes early and enjoy the artwork in the galleries!
