Performing Artists

The Salem Art Fair & Festival hosts a range of entertainment from local and national acts on three stages in Bush’s Pasture Park. The Main Stage is located in a natural amphitheater setting, under the canopy of towering, old-growth oaks and in close proximity to food and drink booths. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on the grass, but a limited number of chairs and tables are also available. Located just south of the Main Stage in the Kids’ Court area is the Family Stage, featuring upbeat and interactive acts for younger audiences. Finally, the Demo Stage features musical acts, poetry readings and other fun sources of information.

Your ticket purchase to the Salem Art Fair & Festival includes all entertainment acts on the day of entry.

Named for an Italian musical direction meaning with spirit, Con Brio is a San Francisco Bay Area seven-piece that plays energetic soul, psych-rock and R&B that’s as fresh and freethinking as the place they call home. With charismatic singer Ziek McCarter bringing “the dance moves, splits and all, of James Brown” (KQED) and a tight, veteran band that “comes across like a party punk version of Sly and the Family Stone” (Consequence of Sound), Con Brio is known to convert anyone who sees their electric live show. Watch Con Brio on the main stage on Friday, July 19 from 7:30-9:00 PM.

Hailing from Spokane, Washington, Too Slim and the Taildraggers are one of the most popular blues bands to emerge from the Pacific Northwest. The group’s powerful mix of blues and rock & roll is built around the guitar work of bandleader Tim “Too Slim” Langford with influences from ZZ Top, Robin Trower, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Catch Too Slim and the Taildraggers on the main stage on Saturday, July 20 from 7:30-9:00 PM.
