Bringing Artists Communities Together – A Collaboration between Salem Art Association and Ash Creek Arts Center
These two local arts organizations have teamed up to offer an exciting series for the local artists community. Each month, the group will meet at a different location to discuss a theme in a small group setting. The group is limited to 10 participants to help promote meaningful conversation and connections.
The series is free, but registration is required through Eventbrite. Registration will open up approximately 3 weeks before each event. If registration is closed, consider signing up for the waitlist on Eventbrite.
May 19 – Transformation/Evolution
Salem Riverfront Park, 200 Water St. NE, Salem, OR 97301 (meet at carousel parking lot entrance)

Looking to connect with other artists in the community? Join us for an evening of conversation, connection, and community. For our first meeting, we will be focusing the conversation on transformation and evolution. How has your art practice changed or transformed over time? What areas of your artistic practice have you seen the most growth in? If you’re interested in sharing your story with other artists, come be a part of Artist Hang Outs!
In order to kick off our first event, we will be hosting a potluck and meeting at the Salem Riverfront Park. Bring your favorite meal or snack to share with others!
June 16 – Inspiration

Who or what inspires your work? Where do you look for inspiration? How does your environment influence your art practice? If you’re interested in sharing your story with other artists, come be a part of Artist Hang Outs!
We will be meeting at Epilogue Kitchen and Cocktails for some delicious food and meaningful conversation! Reservations have been made for this event, so please expect to purchase a meal while you are there.
July 28 – Obstacles

We will be meeting at the Independence Hotel for an evening of rich and meaningful conversation!
August 18 – Collaboration

What kind of collaboration opportunities are you interested in? How has collaboration enriched your artistic practice? For this month’s meeting, we will be visiting Bryn Mawr Vineyards for a beautiful view, some wine and engaging conversation! We’ve reserved seating, so please expect to purchase refreshments.
September 15 – Education

October 20 – Vulnerability
