Salem Salon 2017 (Non-Juried)
Salem Salon is an exciting, non-juried art exhibition open to both emerging and established artists in Salem and neighboring communities. The exhibit will take place in the A.N. Bush Gallery, the main exhibition space at the Bush Barn Art Center. Coinciding with the Salem Art Association’s (SAA) annual Salem Art Fair & Festival, this exhibit will attract between 15,000-20,000 visitors over the course of two months, making this is a high-exposure opportunity for artists. Art drop-off dates: June 30-July 2, Noon-5 pm.
The Salem Art Association (SAA) seeks artists to participate in Symbols, an exhibition in the Annex at the Bush Barn Art Center. Symbols are personal. Many people have personal symbols and stories that incorporate their religious, cultural and familial imagery. These things often prod memory and ideas, bringing to the surface the roots of our ancestry, or other events, times, and places in our lives. This exhibition focuses on artistic interpretations of symbols that are pertinent to family history, holidays or spiritual rituals, heritage and culture. Proposals due: Friday, September 1, 5 pm.
Rental Sales Program & Gift Gallery (Juried)
The Rental-Sales Program and the Gift Gallery of the Salem Art Association (SAA) are consignment venues at the Bush Barn Art Center for local, regional, and Pacific Northwest artists to display, rent and sell their work.
Call for Guest Curators (Juried)
The Salem Art Association invites professionally affiliated and independent guest curators to submit proposals for exhibitions to be held in the A.N Bush Gallery at the Bush Barn Art Center. Exhibitions are typically in six to eight week increments.
