Opportunities include positions in administration, curatorial, development, education, marketing & graphic design, museum services, special events and other professional areas. Available positions may require a variety of levels of training, education and experience.
Fair and Festival Director
The Fair and Festival Director is a full-time, year-round position based at the Salem Art Association and reporting directly to the SAA Executive Director. The Director will be primarily responsible for planning the Salem Art Fair & Festival and, in partnership with the Salem Multicultural Institute, the World Beat Festival. These two events are Salem’s largest cultural events and year-round planning will consume approximately 70% of the Director’s time; the remaining 30% will be dedicated to planning and organizing 4-6 smaller fundraising and programmatic events that take place throughout the year.

The Salem Art Association’s Community Arts Education program is seeking applicants for teaching artists positions. These individuals work in Marion, Polk and Yamhill counties to bring arts education to schools that need it most.
Más informaciónANNEX INTERNSHIP
The Community Arts Education Program of the Salem Art Association (SAA) is seeking qualified interns to help extend the non-profit organization’s hand to diverse communities through programming in the Annex at the Bush Barn Art Center. Such communities could include LGBTQ+, Latino and Latina, women, young adults, and others experiencing disparity in access to arts opportunities. SAA is also seeking interns to help prepare, organize, and present collaborative projects with these groups, such as exhibitions, workshops, and residencies. The mission of the Annex is to be an experimental space for making, showing and learning about art.
